Well, there’s 2 hours of my life I’ll never get back.
We just watched the new Indiana Jones movie, the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I give it a 1 out of 5. Maybe a 1.5. My hopes were never high to begin with but the movie definitely was a disappointment despite my lowered expectations. “Not as good as the first, better than the second, and on-par with the third” was what I was hearing. Not even close.
I’m sorry, I guess I just like my Indiana Jones younger and less, how shall I put it, bumbling? The acting wasn’t terrible, but the story, action sequences, and effects were all lacking. In the extras George Lucas was talking about how this movie was supposed to be like the ’50’s Sci-Fi B-Movies instead of the ’30’s serials. Bad choice in my opinion.
If you haven’t seen it, I won’t ruin anything for you. I just suggest you rent it on an evening like tonight when it is the lesser of two evils: Indy, or Election coverage. 😉
